Project Overview
Parsons Creek Park in Fort McMurray, Alberta is a large multi-district park destination with a large recirculation spray park, playground, washroom building, gazebo, and skate park.
Alberta infrastructure in partnership with Stantec, Spruce Grove Landscaping, and Playworks built this park.
The Team:
- Stantec designed and consulted
- Spruce Grove Landscaping was the general contractor, prime contractor, conducted the earthwork, softscaping, hardscaping, and general landscaping.
- Playworks project managed the specialty equipment install with the general contractor, supplied the concrete washroom, playground, spray park, mechanical equipment, and skate park ramps.
- GLVT was responsible for installing the playground, spray park, skate park ramps, building, and mechanical system under the project management of Playworks
The Product:
- Waterplay manufactured the spray park and recirculation system
- CXT designed and manufactured the washroom building
- Classic Recreation Systems manufactured the shelter
- Barkman designed and manufactured the precast concrete ramps for the skate park
